In this article, I will be discussing with you some Nigerians who were recently sentenced to death;

• Uduak Abasi Akpan made headlines last year when he was caught for allegedly killing a Nigerian female student, Iniubong Unoran.

According to reports on several media platforms, it was revealed that the Akwa Ibom State High court has sentenced Uduak Abasi Akpan, to die by hanging for the rape and murder of job seeker, Iniubong Unoran.

Multiple videos and pictures of the suspects have been trending online since the news hit the net. However, the court discharged and acquitted the father and sister of the suspect.

• Abdulmalik Tanko is another Nigerian who was sentenced to death a few days ago. It trended on social media and several news platforms that the Kano State High Court sentenced Mr. Tanko, a teacher who murdered his pupil, Hanifa Abubakar, last December to death. Reports revealed that he was sentenced to death by hanging.

Recall that Mr. Tanko was reported to have kidnapped and killed Hanifa, a 5-year-old pupil on 4 December 2021, while she was returning from school.
