Nigeria was on Thursday plunged into darkness as the country’s national grid collapsed for the second time in a week.
Naijaloaded reports that the bulk power supply was disrupted around 11:20am on Thursday.
This was confirmed on X by Nigeria National Grid via @NationalGridNg
The tweet reads: “BREAKING: Another Grid Setback Experienced.”
This is the second time the grid has collapsed this week and the twelveth time in the last eleven months.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria has however not issued an official statement on the reason the grid collapsed again on Thursday.
