Davido Biography
Davido is an American-born Nigerian performer, recording producer, songwriter and record artist-producer. He first rose to limelight with his 2011 single “Dami Duro” which was well-received throughout Nigeria. Over the decades he has released numerous hit songs making him an international artist with performances all over the world.
He co-owns HKN Music (a record label home to Sina Rambo, B. Red, and DeeKay), alongside his elder brother Adewale Adeleke. He has since produced music for artists like Naeto C, Skales, Tiwa Savage and Sauce Kid. He signed an endorsement deal with MTN Nigeria in April 2012 and also partnered with Guinness Nigeria for the “Guinness World of More” concert on 23rd October 2013.
For his education, the musician attended the British International School in Lagos. He also studied Business Administration at Oakwood University prior to relocating to Nigeria. His interest in music began during his time at Oakwood University. He bought musical pieces of equipment and started making beats, in addition to recording vocal references. He withdrew out of Oakwood University when he has begun getting poor grades and relocated to London, where he focused more of his energy towards vocals as opposed to production.
When he went back to Nigeria in 2011, his music career was sidelined after he agreed to honor his father by enrolling at Babcock University. In July 2015, the artist earned a music degree from Babcock after his father paid the university to erect a music department for an inaugural class of one.
He released his launched album, Omo Baba Olowo, in 2012 which was supported by the singles “Back When” featuring “Dami Duro Naeto C, “, “All of You”, “Overseas” featuring Sina Rambo, “Ekuro”, “Gbon Gbon” and “Feel Alright” featuring Ice Prince. Between 2013 and 2015, he released the singles “Gobe”, “One of a Kind”, “Skelewu”, “Aye”, “Tchelete (Goodlife)”, “Naughty”, “Owo Ni Koko”, “The Sound” and “The Money”. The aforementioned singles were reportedly intended to be singles off the album, The Baddest.
In January 2016, the singer announced via Twitter that he had signed a record deal with Sony Music. His announcement was met with mixed reactions which led the record label to put out a press release to confirm the deal. A few months after signing with Sony, the singer started his own label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW). Dremo and Mayorkun are currently signed to the label. In July 2016, he again signed a record deal with Sony’s RCA Records.

“ I met him in school through a friend. My friend was dating his friend when we met,” she said.
Vanguard once broke the news that Chioma’s parents weren’t happy with the way she dumped school to follow the singer. A source close to her told Vanguard that she once skipped a whole session just to be with Davido.
‘Chioma once skipped a whole session because she was traveling around with Davido and had to defer her studies. For months now, she has not been attending classes. I can’t even remember the last time she was in school. The last thing I heard from her friends in school is that she’s not interested in coming back to Babcock. She’s traveled out of the country again and it doesn’t look like she’s coming back. A friend confessed to me that she told her she’s not coming back to Babcock,” said the source to Vanguard Ripples
It was further gathered that her father has had a strict talk with her that she must finish school before embarking on any marriage plans. The devout Seventh Day Adventist parents are said to be pained about their child treating her celebrated love affair with the superstar singer as top priority over her education.

The Nigerian singer has two daughters. The first daughter is Aurora Imade Adeleke, born on 14th May 2015. Her mother is Sophie Momodu. His second daughter is Hailey Veronica Adeleke. Her mother’s name is Amanda, born on the 9th of May 2017 in the USA.
