President Muhammad Buhari has granted Dangote Group a special waiver that would allow the conglomerate transport its products across the Nigerian borders into other West African countries, Bloomberg reported on Monday citing an official disclosure.

The business news outlets said Dangote Group’s Michel Puchercos confirmed that the company will now be able to export cement to Togo and Niger following “an authorisation given by this administration.”

It was unclear why Buhari singled Dangote out for commercial clearance through land borders, which have been shut since August last year.

The administration argued the closure, which left thousands stranded because it was not announced prior to implementation, was designed to allow consumption of home-grown products.

Hmm..now you see why Nigeria is not moving forward? Favoritism!

This is an act of wickedness, discrimination and it’s unacceptable. Everyone deserve equal rights as a citizen of this country. If the Nigeria border must be open, then it should be for everyone not just a single person (Dangote).

Personally, I’m not surprise and you shouldn’t be as well. Dangote is one of the problem we are facing in this country as a people. He has taken over our agricultural sectors and the market with the aid of the federal might. Maybe because he’s a Northerner(Buhari Brother) and into politics.🤷

His products are the most expensive in the market. A bag of cement is 5000 naira in some parts of the country right now. Tomatoes and onions are like gold now.. EXPENSIVE! Why? Because one man is in charge of the market.

May God help us all in this country o. Buhari and his brothers wan finish us before stepping down. But God pass dem.
