Ebonyi Governor Francis Nwifuru Elevates 3 Special Assistants To Acting Commissioners

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has elevated his Special Assistant on Water Resources, Franklin Ukah, and his counterpart in Housing and Urban Development, Patrick Enyi.

He ordered them to take charge of their respective ministries as acting commissioners.

The development followed the recent sack of some commissioners, and suspension of others, by the governor.

Nwifuru also directed his Special Assistant on Primary Health, Dr Sabinus Nwibo, to take charge of the State Ministry of Health as acting commissioner.

The Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Jude Okpo disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abakaliki.

The suspended commissioners are Mr. Chinedu Nkah (Water Resources, Engr Francis Ori (Housing and Urban Development), and Dr. Moses Ekuma (Health).

Mr Chinedu Nkah, Engr Francis Ori and Dr Moses Ekuma were suspended over alleged gross misconduct and dereliction of duties in their various ministries.

Nwifuru’s special assistants, who have now been turned into new acting commissioners, were directed begin work with immediate effect.
