The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained ten suspected internet fraudsters.
The EFCC’s Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, stated this in a statement issued Monday in Abuja.
Oyewale claimed that the suspects were taken into custody on November 22 in Adewale Estate and Sea Side Estate in Lagos State’s Badore axis.
“Their arrest followed credible intelligence on the activities of some members of an organised cybercrime syndicate suspected to be involved in computer-related fraud.
“Items recovered from them include exotic cars, mobile devices and mobile phones.
“The suspects have all volunteered their statements,” he said.
Oyewale stated that they will be charged in court as soon as investigations were completed
