The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has asked non-travellers to stay away from airports when they are reopened.

FAAN stated this in a Twitter post today.

The agency also advised persons coming to pick up arriving passengers, to remain in their cars until the passengers’ exit airports’ entrances.

“Non-travelling passengers will not be allowed into the Airport Terminal Buildings.

“People coming to pick up arriving passengers are advised to remain in their cars until passengers exit the gate. Stay safe,”

The tweet read.

FAAN also urged travellers to wear face masks and maintain two metres distance from each other.

Earlier in the week, the agency advised passengers to arrive at airports three hours before take-off to ensure proper checks.
