Federal Government Declares Public Holiday For Christmas And New Year Celebrations

For the celebrations of Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day, respectively, the Federal Government has designated the following dates as public holidays: Monday, December 26, Tuesday, December 27, and Monday, January 2, 2023.

This information was released on Friday in Abuja by the Federal Government’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, on behalf of Interior Minister Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Aregbesola felicitated with Christians and all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora on this year’s Christmas and New Year celebrations. He enjoined Christians to emulate the doctrines of Christ in faith, hope and love.
