A young man, Danladi, who was set to marry in December 2024, was reportedly shot and killed by suspected cultists in Edo State.
According to reports, Danladi was at a friend’s shop on Enohuwa Street, just 100 meters from the Esigie Police Division in Oredo Local Government Area, when the gunmen arrived in a GLK Benz and shot him twice at close range.
An eyewitness described Danladi as an easygoing person and shared that he was the son of the Seriki Hausa in the area.
Danladi’s tragic death has left his family and fiancée in deep grief, especially since he had already begun distributing wedding invitations.
The Edo State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Moses Yamu, stated that the police are working to address cult-related violence in the area and encouraged the public to provide any helpful information that could aid in combating cultism and similar crimes.
