Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted the Provost, Zamfara State College of Agriculture, Bakura, Alhaji Habibu Mainasara.

Also kidnapped are a teacher at Government Science Secondary School Bakura, Malam Mohammed Kabi and one other boy whose identity was yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing in this report.

According to a family source, the Provost was picked by the bandits around 2.00am on Sunday at his official residence within Government Science Secondary School, Bakura.

The source said up to this afternoon, nobody knows his whereabouts and the gunmen have not opened up for communication.

Efforts to get comments from the spokesperson of the state Police Command, SP Mohammed Shehu, failed as he did not pick up the calls to his phone.
