Police Invite Mailafia For Questioning Over Boko Haram Comments
The Nigeria Police Force has invited former Central Deputy Governor, Dr Obadiah Mailafia to appear at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Monday, August 24 for criminal investigation.
According to a letter dated August 20 and signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration), Mamman Sanda, on behalf of the Deputy Inspector General of Police (Force Criminal Investigation Department), Mailafia is expected to be at the Force Headquarters by 11 am on the said date.
This invitation is in connection with Mailafia’s allegations that a Nigerian governor is sponsoring Boko Haram.
The former CBN deputy governor confirmed this to journalists on Friday evening.
Recall that some days ago, he was invited by the Department of State Security (DSS) and was reportedly grilled for 5hours.
