The Kedike singer took to her official Instagram account to make the announcement while celebrating her 30th Birthday. In her own words, she wrote:

“MY NAME IS MINISTER CHIDINMA EKILE. I’M A CRUSADER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS. I’M A CRUSADER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST”

Chidinma also purged her page of all posts related to her previous music genre. The only posts on her page are in connection to her new journey, gospel music.

Recall in 2010, Chidnma rose to fame after winning Project Fame West Africa at the young age of 19. You would also recall how she gained prominence after she dropped smashing singles like Jankoliko, Kedike, and Emi Ni Baller which bagged her the Best Music Video award at the 2014 Headies awards show.

Chidinma was previously signed to Clarence Peters’ record label, Capital Hill/Goretti Company before she made the unexpected switch to Gospel music.

Currently, she is signed to Eezee Concepts, the same record label housing the Spirit-filled Gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo.
