Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have apprehended one Promise Dogoh, a 23-year-old native of Kamnor community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, who allegedly specializes in swapping ATM Cards, belonging to individuals at several ATM points in Rivers State and subsequently stealing money from their accounts.

A statement released by DSP Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson of the command, says the man however ran out of luck on April 22, at ATM gallery in Artillery after he successfully swapped the ATM card of a victim and withdrew the sum of N 640,000, leaving the victim with nothing in his account.

The police spokesperson said the frustrated victim reported the matter to Operatives of the State Command who promptly swung into action and arrested the culprit.

She said he is currently helping the Police in the investigation and shall soon appear in court.
