Two OOU Female Students Kidnapped, Abductors Demand N50m Ransom

Unknown abductors have kidnapped two female students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Aiyetoro campus in Yewa-North Local Government Area of Ogun State on Sunday night.

Adeyemo Precious and Oyefule Abiola, who were victims of the abduction, are students at Forestry and Wildlife Management and Agricultural Economics departments, respectively.

The two students were reportedly abducted at the front of their hostel on Sunday night at the Olowu area of Aiyetoro.

An anonymous source confirmed that the kidnappers have reached out to the family, demanding the sum of N50m to grant the release of the students.

However, the source revealed that the kidnappers made contact with the families of the abductees through their hostage phones.

When queried if the abductors were Fulani herdsmen or not, the source said it was the abducted students who spoke with their families.

“The kidnappers have not spoken with the families. It was the students that spoke and echoed the demands. We don’t know whether they are Yoruba or Fulani because the families have not heard directly from the abductors.

Police Public Relations Officer Abimbola Oyeyemi as of the time of filing this report, has not reached newsmen to confirm the event.
