Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, will sack the club’s manager, Thomas Tuchel, this summer if the German does not finish in the Premier League top-four.
This claim was made by former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Tim Sherwood.
Tuchel was only appointed as Chelsea manager last month following the sack of Frank Lampard.
The former Paris Saint-Germain boss signed an 18-month contract at Stamford Bridge.
However, Sherwood believes Tuchel will not last beyond this season if he does not qualify Chelsea for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
“I think Tuchel has come with a reputation, but no matter what his reputation says, he has to win,”
Sherwood told Premier League Productions.
“I think he signed a very short-term contract. If he wants to stay at the club, he’s going to have to take them into the top four, minimum, this season.”
