A Nigerian lady identified as Lydia Okojie took to social media to appreciate her parents for putting her through school with their little earnings.

The young lady who graduated from UNIBEN shared photos of herself with her dad at his workshop and a video of herself with an excited woman believed to be her mother, signing on her shirt.

Sharing the photos and video, she wrote:

“I’m the pride of a mechanic (Dad)The Jewel of a zobo seller (mom) A role model to my siblings. My parents with their little income produced the Latest Graduate from the faculty of Education, University of Benin. Their contributions made me who I am today. What more can I say? Thank you Jesus Congratulations to my family“

He said his dad arrested everybody at the event because he absconded from school to do music against his father’s wishes.

The ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ crooner said the incident happened in the early days of his career.

He stated this on Friday night while making his UK debut on The lateish Show with Mo Gilligan on Channel4.

Davido said,

“I come from a family where it’s like, education, education, business…Overtime [my decision to do music] was like a beef.

“Any show he [my dad] hear I’m performing at, he sends the police. He arrests the fans, promoters. He has a camera watching where I go to.”

The singer performed his hit song ‘Unavailable’ on The lateish Show.
