Banditry: Masari Commissions 10 Armoured Personnel Carriers For Security Agents In Katsina

The governor of Katsina State has spent N100 million to purchase ten locally made armored personnel carriers (APCs) to help security personnel fight banditry in the state.

When putting the APCs through their paces in Katsina on Monday, Governor Aminu Bello Masari made the following statement: “Government purchased the cars fabricated from Kebbi state to help the security agents to fulfill their jobs efficiently.”

In order for security personnel to face bandits in the state’s 10 frontline local government areas, the government purchased armored personnel carriers.

He claimed that the vehicles will “certainly improve the morale of the security agents to checkmate the operations of the bandits that have been upsetting the state.”

However, the governor denounced the actions of informers who provide crucial information about locals in remote areas.

Masari argued that the bandits couldn’t successfully carry out their operations without the informers.

“All efforts have been made to support the security agents, and the government is determined to win this war against the bandits.”

In order to help the security agents win the battle against the bandits, he pleaded with the populace, “I am appealing to the members of the general public to give all the necessary support.”

In addition to praising the media for adequately covering the struggle against bandits, the governor urged them to refrain from exaggerating the actions of foolish bandits who aim to destabilize society.
