Destiny Boy Tenders Public Apology To Oladips After Slamming Him For Faking His Death

In a surprising turn of events, young Fuji artist Afeez Adesina, also known as Destiny Boy, has issued a public apology to his senior colleague in the music industry, Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, following a controversial incident.

Destiny Boy Tenders Public Apology To Oladips After Slamming Him For Faking His Death

The apology comes after Destiny Boy, in a now-deleted video, criticised Oladips over what was believed to be the latter’s untimely demise. Earlier reports had falsely stated that Oladips had passed away at the age of 28, sparking a wave of mourning on social media. However, the singer later appeared in a video, revealing that he was alive and well.

In the aftermath of this revelation, Destiny Boy faced backlash for his remarks, where he suggested that Oladips would soon face the consequences of falsely proclaiming his death. Destiny Boy has now clarified that his initial video was made in jest, describing it as “catching cruise,” slang for playful banter.

In the video clip where Destiny Boy criticised Oladips, he was in a moving car, expressing discontent over what he believed to be a prank. He mentioned the singer’s age and criticised the perceived insensitivity of the situation.

In his apology, Destiny Boy explained that his intentions were not to cause harm, and he pleaded for Oladips’ understanding. The incident highlights the impact of social media misinformation and the need for careful consideration in addressing sensitive subjects within the public domain.
