Federal Ede Poly Female Hostel On Fire

A female hostel in Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State located in the south campus of the institution was razed down by fire on Wednesday, 29th of January, 2020.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the polytechnic, Sola Lawal, the cause of the fire is yet to be identified, stating that although no life was lost, properties and assets were destroyed.

He, however, commended the men of Osun State Fire Service and their Federal counterpart for responding quickly to the distress call, which according to him, prevented escalation.

When contacted, Administrative Officer of Osun State Fire Service, Fatai Aremu, said firemen in Oke Fia Unit received a distress call from the scene late Wednesday and men were immediately mobilized to the polytechnic.
