It is with deep regret that Saudi Arabia announces the death of the ‘sleeping prince’. Al-Walid bin Khalid bin Talal bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud who is the young prince was in coma for 14 years after involving in a fatal car accident in London where he was studying military science. Hi

This resulted to his clinical death but his father Prince Khalid bin Talal and mother Princess Mona Riad El Solh refused to remove the devices that were being used to save their son’s life. His family had so much hope and showed optimism that the young prince wasn’t dead and will be revived again

Alas all the medical devices used to sustain the Prince’s life were removed after his death was declared. The father of the deceased expressed his grief and deep sorrow at the loss of the young prince popularly known as the “Sleeping Prince”. A religious fatwa was issued to consider the sleeping prince officially dead.
