Kano witnessed an epoch making history and a Medical breakthrough, when the first Brain Surgery was conducted at Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, Giginyu, Kano, on Ali Iliyasu, who was suffering from brain ailment in the last 26 years, after an accident.
The leader of the Surgeons who conducted the surgery, Consultant Neuro-Surgeon Dr. Shu’aibu Sule Dambatta, reveals that, “The patient had an eleven (11) Months appointment with another different facility before he came to us and we accepted to conduct the open brain surgery on him.”
A statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to Kano state Governor Abba Anwar said Dr. Dambatta hints that, the team of the Surgeons include Dr Atiku, Dr Musa, Dr Hassan and Dr Musbahu, whom are all from Kano state, disclosing that, “This is the first brain surgery done in Kano, in the history of the Medical profession in the state.”………………….More>>>>>>>

Kano State witnessed an epic and historic medical breakthrough as the first Brain Surgery was conducted in the state on Thursday, at Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, Giginyu, Kano, on Ali Iliyasu, who was suffering from brain ailment in the last 26 years, after an accident.
A statement by the chief press secretary to the governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, quoted the leader of the surgeons who conducted the surgery, Shu’aibu Dambatta, a Consultant Neuro-Surgeon as saying that, “The patient had an eleven (11) Months appointment with another different facility before he came to us and we accepted to conduct the open brain surgery on him.”

President Muhammadu Buhari has commended the Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, for providing quality health care services to the people in the state. The President made the commendation at the inauguration of a multi million naira Giginyu Hospital, named after Buhari.
He said that Ganduje’s priority on health care was in accordance with the ruling party’s change agenda.
Buhari said: “The change agenda is to reform Nigeria and Nigerians and to uplift the lives of Nigerians.”
