“Olamide Problem Is He Can’t Manage Two Artistes At The Same Time” – DO YOU AGREE?

YBNL Princess, the former signee of Olamide’s record label, has recently made some controversial statements about her former boss.

She claimed that Olamide was not capable of managing two artists at the same time and that he neglected her career while focusing on Fireboy DML.

In an Instagram outpour by Temmi Ovwasa, she said:

“Olamide problem is he can’t manage two artists at the same time. He can’t give equal attention to two people. He will always choose one over the other. That’s what happened to me and Fireboy. He chose Fireboy over me and left me in the dark.”

She also accused Olamide of not promoting her songs, not shooting videos for her, and not giving her any creative freedom. She said she felt like a slave under his label, and that she regretted signing with him.

YBNL Princess, whose real name is Temmie Ovwasa, was signed by Olamide in 2016 as the first female artist on his label.

She released a few singles, such as JaboleBamidele, and Holy Water, but none of them made any significant impact. She parted ways with YBNL in 2020, after a public spat with Olamide on social media.

But Can Olamide Really Manage Two Artistes Simultaneously?

Before Temmie would have come to the conclusion that Olamide can’t manage two artists at the same time, I’m sure she must have used her experience while at YBNL, and also what she observed after she left.

Let’s take a look at different Duo-Era in the YBNL Dynasty;

Lil Kesh & Adekunle Gold Era

Looking at the whole time we have to manage two artists at a goal, first, we would look at Lil Kesh & Adekunle Gold era. Lil Kesh was the popping act at the time in YBNL with his mega-hit “Shoki” and also an iconic feature of Davido on the remix.

Immediately Adekunle Gold pop like this with “Sade“, Lil Kesh went MIA in the Industry, and Adekunle Gold took over the scene Lil Kesh lost from.

Using this as a case study, I will say Temmie Ovwasa is right.

Davolee & Chinko Ekun Era

Olamide unleashed Chinko Ekun on us with his fast rap style, and his Fake Chinese-aligned rap too, and the whole industry fucked with Chinko Ekun, two years of Chinko Ekun ruling in YBNL, Ata rodo came to pepper!

Just by giving artists helping hands, Olamide noticed Davolee too, and he was welcomed with an open arm to YBNL, and without taking the time he gave us “Festival Bar

As festival bar hits like this, Davolee took over, Olamide shifted attention, and Chinko Ekun was left to wander the industry himself.

But without enjoying his tenure, Davolee ruling was coup by LYTA! with “Time

Lyta & Fireboy DML Era

Lyta was the king in YBNL then before Fireboy DML came to the scene with his debut single “Jealous” and he overthrew Lyta in no time.

Olamide switched attention again, and from there, a new YBNL/Empire was birthed.  We can all testify that Fireboy DML Signing was the turnaround for YBNL as a whole.

With Fireboy DML, YBNL opens larger doors and also shoots up internationally…

I will say if this Temmie’s reason too – I will gladly support her notion!

Fireboy DML & Asake Era

Well, we can’t say this is an Era yet! Cause I think as Asake is popping, Fireboy DML is not stopping too, and his craft is still dope, and also still has amazing attention at his side.

Abi do you guys think Fireboy DML and Asake should be an era too?

So Guys 👇

What do you think of YBNL Princess’s allegations?

Do you agree that Olamide is a bad manager? Or do you think she is just bitter and ungrateful?
