Chaos erupted at Araromi Ilogbo Secondary School in Oko Afo, Lagos, as students protested the death of their classmate, David Babadipo, who was allegedly flogged to death by a teacher named Oluwale.

The incident occurred on Thursday when the 16-year-old, already unwell, was reportedly flogged, leading to his hospitalization and subsequent death.

A video showed students running within and outside the school premises.

According to a voice in the background, the deceased student was allegedly flogged by a teacher when he wanted to go out to purchase something.

A local resident, Mama Sassy D, commented on the video, stating that riots had already started, and the teacher might face consequences.

However, a Facebook user, Esther Wusu, disputed the claim, saying that the teacher named was actually the school’s vice principal.
