While details are still unclear, unconfirmed sources suggest that Adelabu discovered his wife in a compromising situation with one of his security guards.
Allegedly, he used a machete to fatally harm his wife before taking his own life by consuming sniper.
The tragic incident unfolded at their residence in Alagbaka GRA in Akure.
Adelabu, known for his business ventures, including petrol stations in the state capital, left his wife’s lifeless body on their marital bed, and he was found dead in the toilet.
The bodies have been deposited at Akure General Hospital. The state police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident, stating that Adelabu murdered his wife and then committed suicide.
Police detectives have initiated an investigation into the matter.
