We Are Working Round The Clock To Make Sure That Asiwaju Tinubu Wins The Election – Tukur Burutai
Former Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Burutai, has said that they are working round the clock to make sure that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu, emerges as the winner in next month’s election.
Burutai who is the immediate past Ambassador of Nigeria to the Republic of Benin said that he has become a member of the ruling APC and a democrat, and that he has ideas and ideals that the APC could make use of. He said this while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Sunday.
In the report which was made by Premium Times, he said – “I also believe that the party means well for Nigeria, and also stands a better chance of winning the presidential election. We are working round the clock to ensure that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu wins the election…”
Speaking further, Burutai said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had ruled the country for 16 years, and said that Nigerians should give the ruling APC the benefit of the doubt for another eight years, and that if the party does not meet the expectations of the people, then they can take decisive action which includes democratic revolution.
He also urged Nigerians to shun violence, and expressed confidence that the forthcoming elections will be peaceful, free and fair.
